MARY ROSETTA VESTINA TUITT

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Mary Rosetta Vestina Tuitt, known to many as Rose, Ms. Rose, or Rosta, of Dick Hill and Salem, Montserrat, but who last resided at West Palm Beach, Bolans, Antigua.
Rosetta passed away at the Sir Lester Bird Medical Center on March 18, 2025, at the age of 72 years. She was born on November 23, 1952, to John Fenton and Ruth Tuitt, both deceased of St. Johns, Montserrat. She also shared a profound love for her stepfather, Matthew O’Garro (deceased), of Dick Hill, Montserrat.
She was the mother of Michelle and Dwayne in the U.K., Georgette, Anderson, and Karen, who reside in Antigua. She was the mother of her adopted daughter and son, Mauricia Prince in Antigua and Dwayne Daley of Montserrat, and the mother-in-law of Denise and Everette.
Also mourning her death are her grandchildren Curtis in the U.S.A., Raheem, Aiden, Andicia, Serenity, Kesmaria, Derricia, Zadique, Leah, and Rika in Antigua, Onica, Oneccia and Andrew in the U.K., and Joshua in St. Kitts.
Rosetta also leaves to mourn her great-grandchildren, Kaycen in Antigua and Treasure in St. Kitts. She was also the godmother of Adam Lee, who resides in the U.K.
Left to mourn are her siblings: Anita, Naomi, James, and George in the U.S.A., Joycelyn, Erlene, and Denzil in the U.K.; and David in Antigua and their respective families.
Rose will be missed greatly by her many nieces and nephews, including Clevance, Cathilda, Joudie, Guerwyn, Royden, Joyanne, Izusa, Colette, Diahanne, Lawrence, Andrea (deceased), Rashad, Christy, Georgianna, Roland, Patricia, Jairam, Ieasha, Cathy, Patrice, Anastasia, Jeanette, and their families.
Her death is also mourned by her cousins James “Sly J, The Chief Rocker” Simon and Tony “Montana” Lewis in Antigua and their families, and Althea Allen and family of Montserrat.
She was a cherished friend of Annie Phillip and her family, as well as Hubert “Joe Bread” Daley and his family of Montserrat. She shared close relationships for many years with Eleanor Kentish and her family, Vernon “Dr. Solo” Benjamin and his wife, Jacqueline Benjamin, Juanita James, and Paula James, all of Antigua.
Other close friends mourning her death include Giselle Maloney and family, Donna Sandy and family, Michelle Duberry and sons in Antigua, Magdalene Christian and family, and Jenny Cassell and family in the U.K. She will be deeply missed by her neighbours in West Palm Beach, Bolans, and the Bolans Seventh-Day Adventist Church members.
She is also known to members of the New Ebenezer Seventh-Day Adventist Church (formerly known as Ebenezer) and the New Carmel Seventh-Day Adventist Church. She is remembered by friends and family in Montserrat, the USA, and the UK, as well as by her caretaker, Mitzi Morris, of Gray Hill, Antigua. All of whom mourn her loss.
Rosetta is well-known to many more family members and friends who mourn her passing. May everyone find comfort during this time of bereavement and continue to celebrate her life.
The Thanksgiving Service for the late Mary Rosetta Vestina Tuitt will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at the Jennings Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Ebenezer Village.
The viewing of the body and tributes will commence at 1:30 pm, followed by the funeral service at 2 pm. Interment will follow at the Valley Church Cemetery.

A Tribute to Rosetta
On March 18, 2025, we lost Rosetta, a beloved family member and friend. She was known for her warmth, hard work, and love for gardening.
Rosetta’s garden was full of beautiful flowers and vegetables, which she loved to share with others.
Her legacy of love, dedication, and connection to nature will continue to inspire us.
