With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Alexandrine Lamothe also known as Didin or Mama of Pointe Michel, Dominica but last resided at Gunthorpes, Antigua.
Alexandrine passed away at the Sir Lester Bird Medical Center on 29th October 2024 at the age of 80 years. She was born on 1st February 1944 to James Lamothe and Stephany Denis, both of Dominica and deceased.
She was the mother of Sallyanne, Roseann, Errol (deceased), Raymond, Donna, Amanda, Denise, Clement in Antigua, and Irving in Dominica. She was also the mother-in-law of Bejai, Anderson, and Kay.
Also mourning are her grandchildren Kimany, Channelle, Nicques, Charrelle, Shania, Shemar, Christen and Serenity in Antigua. Daylana in Florida and Denim in Dominica.
Alexandrine also leaves to mourn her great-grandchildren Sarai, Kiara (deceased), and Kiniah.
Alexandrine was the aunt of Rosie and her family of McPond, All Saints village. Her cousins Francillia, Daphne, Julie, and Maria in Antigua. She was the mother of her adopted sons and daughters within the Ministry of Finance.
She was also the good friend of the proprietors of Joan Snackette Elizabeth and Elaine and their families, Clinton, David, Vivian, Winifred, Eugenia, Rena and family, the Maynards and family, Rosinis and family, Linita and family, the Spencers, and the Francis all of Antigua.
Also mourning her death are Robbin, Jasmin, Wilma, Antonio, and Jennifer in the USA. The Lugays, Denise, Ma Coolie, Leon, Suelan, Zim, Eva, Edlyn, Liz, David, and Jennifer of Dominica. She will be deeply missed by her many friends at The Public Market and members of the Holy Family Cathedral.
The homegoing service for the late Alexandrine Lamothe will be held at the Holy Family Cathedral at Michaels Mount on November 25, 2024.
Viewing will take place at 12:30 pm, followed by the funeral service at 1 pm. The interment will follow. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
