We are saddened to announce the passing of Ann Eleanora Smithen better known as “Helen” of Cassada Gardens formerly of All Saints Village who died at the age of 96 years old.

She was the daughter of the late Ireen & William Knight of All Saints. She was the sister of Christobelle Roach and Family in England, Albert Knight and Family in England and the late Eulalie Phillip of All Saints.
She was the Mother of Brenda Payne of Cassada Gardens, Alvanis Jarvis in Canada, Herdina Lewis and Clenard Jarvis in New York and the Late Hewlester Payne.
Her grandchildren includes Sandy Harvey, Stacy Coates, Number 111 Constable Lashorn Barnarde of the Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda and his wife Denisia Barnarde, Shazeka Roberts and the late Shakeel Roberts all of Cassada Gardens. Shirley Percival and Rohan Charles in Canada, Letticia, Tricia, Joseph, Steve, Della and the late Kitson Lewis, Shelayne and Jevorn Jarvis all in New York.
Her Great Grandchildren includes Natisha Campbell, Dalnesha and Carina Joseph, Kadesha Wynter, Javante and Janiah Andrew, Lah’quan, La’Nique and Lah’Qhori Barnarde all residing in Antigua, Sebastian Jackson, Yancy Napoles, Mackiah Bernarde and Deszare Browne all residing in Canada.

She had sixteen (16) great great grandchildren. Her nieces and nephews includes Cavelle Frederick, Cathleen Knight, Leearcher, Sam, Joyce and Pauline Knight of Allsaints, Janice Greenaway and her family of Allsaints. Deno, Doyle, Seneka and Nelsa Knight of all saints.
She was cousins to the Knights and Tonges of All Saints, Elaine Davis of Barnes hill, Bernie Lewis the late Jacklyn Cornelious and her family. She was the friend of Marilyn Mullings, Mr. and Mrs. Irvin “Rebel “Parker of Golden Grove, Blondina Williams and Pastor Julian Lawrence of Cassada Gardens.
She has many more family and friends too numerous to mention. We say a special thanks to nurses & Doctors at the Mount St. John’s Medical Centre and the Love and Care home for the elderly in Cassada Gardens.
The funeral service for the late Ann Eleanora “Helen” Smithen will be held on Wednesday 13th December 2023 at the Church of God of Prophecy Rohan Henry Street.

Tributes begin at 1:00 pm and funeral service at 2:00pm. Interment will be in the St. John’s Public Cemetery. May the Soul of our dearly departed Rest in Peace and Rise in Glory.
