STATE MEDIA – Prime Minister, Honorable Gaston Browne has expressed condolences to the Chairman of Sandals, Adam Stewart following the death of his wife. Jill Stewart passed away on Saturday at the age of 43, following a battle with cancer.
In his letter to Stewart, Prime Minister Browne says “Please accept the deepest condolences of the people and Government of Antigua and Barbuda on this tragic ending of a beautiful life.”
The Prime Minister also says, “I have discerned from your public pronouncements that Jill was very important to you and your three children. I feel your pain and so too does the Antiguan contingent of the Sandals employees here.”
The Prime Minister says Stewart’s decision-making has shown the pivotal role Sandals Resorts plays in several Caribbean countries and says he wishes him all the best in the near future.
