STATE MEDIA – The nation has lost one of its most influential religious leaders. Bishop Ewing Dorsett died at the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre earlier today at the age of 80.

He was way more than an inspirational figure for the many persons who were drawn by his charismatic and rousing sermons, whether delivered from the pulpit or from behind the microphone of ABS Radio many years ago.

He was also a respectable member of the business community. He owned and operated the popular Sight Sound and Time store becoming one a very few indigenous entrepreneurs whose establishment could be found among the stretch of stores on High and Market Streets.

Bishop Dorsett was at times outspoken and raised his voice against the social and political ills affecting Antigua and Barbuda. His interest and passion about the direction and development of his country earned him membership on the Antigua and Barbuda Electoral Commission.
