Community Development and Citizens’ Engagement Division – Today, the Director and staff of Community Development and Citizens’ Engagement Division along with Government and Ministry Officials joined the family of Ms. Louisa Simon to celebrate the post Official Ceremony for her 101st birthday.

Louisa was born in 1922 just before the Great Depression, to parents Mark Simon and Mary Brand who are both deceased.

She is a pioneer of Jehovah’s Witness and had continued the work of Jehovah in her earlier days in the Bronx, New York witnessing to people.

Her birthday wish this year was to celebrate in Antigua with friends and family and embrace the beauty of her country and enjoy the white sandy beaches, eat natural home-grown food like Pepper Pot and Fungi and a variety of other local dishes.

Present at the ceremony were Sir Clare Roberts, Governor Generals Deputy, Sen. Samantha Marshall, Junior Minister of State within the Ministry of Heath, Wellness, Social Transformation and the Environment, Dale O’Brien, Director of Community Development and Citizens’ Engagement Division, Ms. Adelza Sheridan District Officer with responsibility for the Yorks area, other members of staff of the Community Development and Citizens’ Engagement Division and family and friends of the celebrant.
