Community Development and Citizens’ Engagement Division – It is with sadness that the Director and staff of Community Development and Citizens’ Engagement Divison inform the public of the passing of one of our Beloved Treasured Centenarian Mrs.Viola Matilda Henry James formerly of Buckleys Village who died on Thursday 9th February 2023.

We at the department extend condolences to the bereaved and would be keeping the family in prayer as they mourn the loss of Viola.

Viola would have been celebrating her 102nd birthday on Friday 10th February with family and friends in New York where she last resided.

To date, there are 21 living Centenarians of Antigua and Barbuda.
