Antigua and Barbuda Defence Force (ABDF) – On the 20th December 2022, all units of the Antigua and Barbuda Defence Force: 1ABR A Coy, B Coy, Airwing and Coast Guard came together at Camp Blizard Base for the last parade scheduled for the year.

This short parade is an annual celebration of soldiers of all Ranks (From Private up to Captain). They received medals for reaching a noticeable number of years in the Force, serving a greater purpose than one’s self.

After the parade, the end-of-year luncheon was also held at Camp Blizard. Small awards were given to soldiers and civilians who put in the extra effort to ensure maximum productivity of the force’s function.

Tokens of appreciation were given to those who kept up the standard, for attaining the best shooter for the year, best physical, and best Cadet.

Our Civilian Staff and Band members were also noticed as they also play a part in our productivity.

At the luncheon, everyone was served their meals by our Junior and Senior Commissioned Officers. This is an example of our “Command” showing appreciation for all the service and sacrifice of our “Subordinates”.
