The Broken Chain
We knew little that evening, God was going to call your name.
In life, we loved you dearly and in death, we do the same
It broke our hearts to lose you. You did not go alone.
For parts of us went with you, the day God called you home
You left us precious memories. Your love is still our guide
And though we cannot see you, you are always by our side
Our family chain is broken and nothing seems the same
But as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.

His Journey’s Just Begun
Don’t think of him as gone away
His journey’s just begun,
Life holds so many facets
This Earth is only one.
Just think of him as resting
From the sorrows and the tears
In a place of warmth and comfort
Where there are no days and years.
Think how he must be wishing
That we could know today
How nothing but our sadness
Can really pass away.
And think of him as living
In the hearts of those he touched…

Our Coursemate
A man of courage given the field he chose. A man of strength and one of our bros.
He was with us to the end. In our hearts and minds through every trend.
A brother we miss, a man so kind. Easy to speak to even just to unwind.
He was funny and smart, he was Course 43 and sure did fit the part.
“C” is for cherish, with the memories, we’ll do just that.
“O” is for one and there can only be one of you.
“U” is for us; the times shared with our course family were life’s added bonus.
“R” is for readiness; that skip in your step for duty will forever be remembered.
“S” is for solidarity; during this time of loss, we stand together for each other.
“E” is for entire; you’ll remain with us throughout our entire lives, in our hearts, in everything we do.
“43” is not just a number it’s a story we share. Shared by all, something we all dearly hold to.
You are special and that’s a joy to know. There’s so much pain, now it’s time to let go.
We pray this message breaches the heavens above for the angels to take care of you and give you all of our love.
